I am a moral philosopher. I study the interpretation and criticism of contested ideas in moral and political thought, such as 'reason', 'objectivity', 'autonomy', 'impartiality', 'indifference' and 'responsibility'. Much of my current work is focused on various forms of contingency as they apply to one or more of the categories above.
